Flooring

Flat subfloor, tight seams, clean transitions — floors that don't squeak or gap.

We install hardwood, engineered wood, laminate and luxury vinyl plank throughout the whole house. The subfloor gets checked and flattened first, because that's what decides whether a floor stays quiet and level for twenty years. Trim, thresholds and stair noses are all part of the job.

Exactly what we do

What we install

  • Solid hardwood, nailed or glued, in strip and wide plank
  • Engineered hardwood — floating, glue-down or nail-down
  • Luxury vinyl plank and tile, including waterproof click systems
  • Laminate flooring with proper expansion gaps
  • Pre-finished and unfinished material

Subfloor & prep

  • Old flooring, carpet, tack strip and staples removed and hauled away
  • Subfloor checked for flatness, then leveled or sanded down
  • Squeaky subfloor re-screwed to the joists
  • Damaged or soft plywood sections replaced
  • Underlayment and moisture barrier installed to spec

Layout & detail

  • Room layout planned so plank runs and seams look right
  • Staggered end joints and random-length racking
  • Cuts around door jambs by undercutting, not caulking
  • Stair treads, risers and stair nose to match the floor
  • Thresholds, reducers and T-molding at every transition

Repairs & finish work

  • Board replacement for water damage, pet stains or gouges
  • Baseboard and shoe molding removed and reinstalled
  • Existing floors patched into new sections
  • Final clean, and floor protection left down if trades follow us

How the job runs

  1. 01Measure each room, check the subfloor, and talk through material and direction.
  2. 02Written estimate covering tear-out, prep, install, trim and disposal.
  3. 03Material delivered and acclimated in your home before install day.
  4. 04Install, trim out transitions, clean up and walk the whole floor with you.
